I am a romance author, songwriter, contributor to the Pink Heart Society (PHS) e-zine and founder co-host of #UKRomChat, a weekly live Twitter chat for romance writers. In 2018 I was a finalist in the TARA and WisRWA Fab Five romance writing contests. I was a shortlisted runner up in the Mills & Boon/Women’s Weekly Short Story 2019 contest. I’m a former prosecutor and hold a Diploma in Forensic Medical Sciences, but, no, I would not rather be writing crime! I’m all about happy-ever-afters.
Many moons ago, I studied English Literature alongside Law at The University of Glasgow and am currently pursuing a BA in Creative Writing with the Open University. You can find me on Twitter as @EilidhLawrence and Facebook as Eilidh K. Lawrence, Author.

Mills & Boon are part of the Harlequin Books family. The following month, in January 2017, I submitted to the Harlequin So You Think You Can Write #AmishBlitz, having blogged about my progress. I was looking forward to the response with both excitement and trepidation because every entry meeting the brief would receive editorial feedback. I saw this as an amazing opportunity to find out what areas I needed to work on. What I never expected was to receive a full manuscript request! That’s when the hard work really kicked in…
